La Secretaría de Estado de Turismo y Ecovidrio, el único SCRAP especializado que gestiona sobre el terreno la recogida selectiva y da respuesta a la sostenibilidad de los envases de vidrio desde el origen en España, han hecho entrega hoy del prestigioso reconocimiento, la ‘Bandera Verde’, a los nueve municipios costeros españoles que, durante este verano, han demostrado un mayor compromiso con la sostenibilidad y la economía circular a través de la recogida selectiva de envases de vidrio y la implicación de sus hosteleros.
Ecovidrio, el único SCRAP especializado que gestiona sobre el terreno la recogida selectiva y da respuesta a la sostenibilidad de los envases de vidrio desde el origen, ha presentado hoy su nuevo Plan Estratégico 2025-2030. Esta ambiciosa hoja de ruta contempla una inversión de 743 millones de euros con la que Ecovidrio se compromete a alcanzar los objetivos de tasa de reciclado de envases de vidrio que establece la legislación en 2027 – con tres años de antelación - y además a superar el 80% en 2030, cinco puntos por encima de lo que exige Europa para esta fecha.
Ecovidrio, la entidad sin ánimo de lucro encargada de la gestión del reciclado de residuos de envases de vidrio en España, ha celebrado un acto conmemorativo en el Congreso de los Diputados para hacer balance de todo lo logrado en los dos primeros años de la aplicación de la Ley 7/2022 de Residuos y Suelos Contaminados para una Economía Circular en España y reflexionar sobre los retos y oportunidades de futuro. El Secretario de Estado de Medioambiente, Hugo Morán, ha sido el encargado de realizar la clausura.
